Gun Club Rules & Safety Guidelines

LEGAL NOTICE

Welcome to our private Gun Club! We are not a public gun range. As a member, you are granted the privilege to shoot on our private property.

Bullet list

  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises, including medical marijuana.

  • Private Property Notice: Only members and their guests are permitted. Anyone else is trespassing.

  • Discharge Laws: In Florida, firing a gun on private property without the owner's permission is a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine per trigger pull.

  • While we are not in the business of getting people arrested, if an incident occurs and law enforcement requests our security footage, we will provide it.

  • Video surveillance & trail cameras are present throughout the property. There is no expectation of privacy on the premises.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

  • Ventilation Requirement: At all times, at least two doors must be open, and one fan must be running for proper air circulation, even in colder months.

  • Emergency Equipment: A first aid kit is mounted on the wall near the bathroom. The address is posted above it, behind the counter, and over the small entrance door.

  • Cell Phone Signal: Reception may be unreliable inside the building.

SHOOTING RANGE PROCEDURES

Opening the Range

  1. Turn on lights and fan

  2. Open the designated non-shooting door and secure it with the chain and pin.

  3. Firearm Handling on Entry:

  • When you arrive, cased and holstered firearms must go directly onto the shooting tables.

    • If no one is shooting, the range is COLD—meaning NO physical contact with any firearm.

    • Setting Up Targets:

No one should be at the firing tables while someone is downrange.

The red line on the floor marks the boundary for a cold range—everyone must remain behind it when others are downrange.

Going "HOT"

Once all targets are set and everyone is behind the cold range line, the range may go HOT:

Firearms may be removed from holsters and cases.

The first firearm must be rendered SAFE:

Semi-Auto: Drop the magazine, clear the chamber, lock the slide back, check for remaining rounds, and place it on the left side.

Revolvers:

Double-action: Open the cylinder, eject bullets, and place it on the right side.

Single-action: Open the loading gate, empty it, and place it on the left side.

NRA 3 Safety Rules:

  • Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.

  • Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

  • Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.

Loading & Handling

  • Always keep firearms pointed downrange.

  • When reloading, turn your body, not the firearm, to maintain muzzle discipline.

  • Never turn a firearm to the left or right to inspect it, as this could put others at risk.

  • Never look down the barrel of a firearm—use a push rod if necessary.

Firearm Storage & Positioning

  • Firearms must always be holstered, cased, or on the shooting line tables, pointed downrange

  • No handling firearms on a cold range.
